Hey.  It's been awhile.

I got around to making soap again and just posted them on my Etsy and StoreEnvy shops.  So many new things, like...

I've been going through my fragrance oil stock and been getting rid of the fragrances I don't want.  I decided the best way to get rid of them is to make something pretty and sell it and never buy it again.  There's a lot of lemongrass in there.  That's just because I really like lemongrass.

I guess I just felt like showing off my new soaps and pictures.  :)

Quick Update

I've been absent from the soaping world entirely since I've moved here.  No means to melt my oils right now (might need to steal a neighbor's microwave) and therefore there hasn't been much to write about.  I did promise my readers lots of pictures of the area, so if you are interested, visit my Picasa album and take a looksy!

Briny arrives in Maine!

I arrived here in Bar Harbor last week and I've finally found free Wi-Fi on the island.  I've eaten lots of lobster and have seen some really beautiful views!

Good news!  Briny Bar Soap is now being sold in the town of Bar Harbor at A&B Naturals!  The store supports local businesses and has a bunch of natural options, my kind of place.

Unfortunately, whipped salt scrubs and hair products did not make the trip.  I was afraid the scrubs would melt and decided to just focus on soaping while I'm here.  I think I'll enjoy the simplicity.

Lastly, (kind of already said this, but) I am moving in a week.  Where this time?  Maine.  I'll be working in Acadia National Park this season.  Expect some really pretty pictures and not so much soap for a while.  Not sure what the housing situation will be, but I am bringing most of my soap supplies with me.  That is, whatever I can fit in my car among everything that I'll need to live for the next five months.  I've done it before, from Minnesota to New Jersey to Wyoming.  I've already decided not to bring my whipped salt scrubs.  They would not be able to withstand the heat in my car during the trip.  The scrubs are currently listed as 15% off on top of the moving sale, so buy 'em up!
